I live like nobody else will, so that one day I will live like nobody else can.

I love my sparkfriends and all I could ever wish is to have more! There are so many great people on this site and I love reading everyone's blogs and status updates. I am very encouraged by my friends!

I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science August 2012. I'm not sure where I'm going with my career from here, but I am using all that I learned to work on myself. My main focus right now is to be healthy. I am following the calorie, carb, fat, and protein ...

I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science August 2012. I'm not sure where I'm going with my career from here, but I am using all that I learned to work on myself. My main focus right now is to be healthy. I am following the calorie, carb, fat, and protein recommendations from Sparkpeople.

I could not even begin this process without God's love and blessing in my life. I believe that God will do anything for me that I cannot do, but will not do for me anything I can do. And He ALWAYS does whatever He wants. There is no forcing his hand in this matter. Every day is to the glory of God who strengthens me!

I motivate myself by helping motivate other people. I love to reach out to others and provide encouragement and ideas. It helps me to feel motivated, too! I love having accountability partners (the more the better!). I hate to admit when I have failed, although I will admit it if I have, so having someone to report to really helps me!

I often end up eating weird snacks to balance out what I ate that day. It's always yummy food, though! Glad to hear you're keeping up a good attitude about it. Sometimes it's better to just focus on one thing at a time.

Thanks for the comment on my blog! I really value your encouragement and support. That is a good thought about the ovulation tests...I'll have to look into that, maybe next time I decide to buy a pregnancy test.

Hey, how you doing? You have been quiet on Spark. Hope that David is keeping you busy and active and that you are working on your goals. I am enjoying the nicer weather - hasn't been too hot the past few days. I now have a fitbit and am having fun tracking my sleep as well as my steps. emoticon emoticon

NEVER discourage ANYONE
who CONTINUALLY makes PROGRESS
no matter HOW slow.

- - PLATO - -

Always remember that a step in the RIGHT direction, no matter HOW small, is STILL a step in the RIGHT direction! Don't be discouraged by SLOW progress for progress is progress no matter it's speed! As long as you focus each day on getting better & on moving forward, you will continually be moving in the direction of CHANGE, in the direction of HOPE & in the direction of SUCCESS! Each day brings reason to CELEBRATE!!! Choose to LIVE in the MOMENT!!! Choose to APPRECIATE each & every step that brings you closer to the BIG goal! YOU are STRONG, you are CAPABLE & you are DOING this & THAT is ALL that matters!!!

Stay Positive,

Jes

Glad my comment didn't come off as too harsh. I know sometimes type comes out with a little more edge than intended. I just want you to know that you're not alone, and that I believe in you.

I wasn't necessarily saying you should quit the competition. Continue to weigh in because you need to, but you don't need to compare yourself to everyone else. It's just too crazy of a time for you to be doing that.

I know trying to eat evenly has really helped me keep from feeling deprived. So if that's what you need, you should do it.

And, yeah, I think it's emotionally unhealthy for you to skip social events because of the food. But if this one is going to stress you out with your travel downstate, then it makes sense to skip it. You don't need to overload yourself.
