Coming Back to Life

My name is Lisa. I have been working on living a life free of compulsive/emotional eating for many years. I lost 110 pounds 15 years ago, and maintained that weight loss until I had my daughter 5 years ago. I have gained 55 pounds back. In January I declared 2008 the year I take myself back. I did lose 15 pounds, but gained it all back plus 5. I returned to SP for the motivation it offers on April 1. I know I cannot do it alone. I have been praying and looking for a way.

Hello! My name is Janice, and I am an LMFT in Texas. I am married and have 3 boys. Two are still at home. I opened my practice almost 20 years ago. I am very busy at work, but I sit for long hours. By the time I get home, I am exhausted, but my body has not gotten any exercise. I am trying to make exercise a priority and have started pledging to get 30 minutes a day, at least 5 days a week. I did this in January. I have a recumbent bike that I get on if I have no time for anything else. I can grade group assignments at the same time! Now, does that sound like a therapist who needs to carve out more time for herself or what???

Good luck on your journey. Write when you can - either on my page or email me at janice@seguinfamily.com. Take care, Janice
