Heaviest weight ever: 308 pounds
Starting SparkPeople weight: 278.5 pounds

I lost 30 pounds before joining SparkPeople and another 40 since. My weight, my blood pressure, my fasting blood glucose, my total cholesterol and LDL have all dropped. I lost so many inches on my waist that I had to buy a leather punch to make new holes in my belts.

I am grateful to my SparkFriends and the Spark Community for their friendship and their support. Thank you all.

Great job getting balance in your life! I have meant to write, but my life is a bit out of balance right now too!

I got pretty consumed by SP and my exercises for awhile. It is easy to get wrapped up in it, especially when progress comes and one feels great with all the changes. Sometimes I think that deep focus is very valuable in getting ourselves to change. Eventually it has a negative effect and begins to have negative consequences on other areas. For me the trick has been to take what I have learned, my new habits and use the skills gained to maintain my weight. I try to check into SP every day, but often it is just a quick process, just enough for me to keep supporting my friends, see how they are doing and get on with my day.It helps keep me aware of where I have been, what I have done, and how I WONT go back to where I was.
