Tahosa - Dweller of Mountain Tops

You cannot stay at the summit forever, You have to come down again. So why seek in the first place?
Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One hikes, one sees.
One returns and remembers what they have seen.
When in the lower regions you are glad for what you saw when you were up there. There will be a time when your visions are dimmed but you will at least know what it was like up there.

Tahosa...
Just a note to let you know how much I appreciate your inspiration and gifts you are so generous in giving! I have gained 10 pounds through the holidays and now is the time for me to focus (once again) on myself and what I need next, exercise, water, vitamins, whatever!

God bless you this upcoming New Year with every mountain you climb!
your Spark friend, Denise

Thanks so much for reading and commenting on my hiking blog. It was a great day and definitely a great workout! Glad you enjoyed going along. I watched the Youtube videos and really loved the scenery there. One day I hope to be able to go hiking in Colorado. I was born 35 miles outside of what was Denver in 1955 (which is no doubt not 35 miles form the city anymore LOL) but we left when I was 6. We lived up in the mountain area towards Lookout Mountain. There were only a few houses around us and lots of woods around and I think my love of the forest and the mountains came from those early years maybe when they were part of my backyard. I've lived in parts of southern New Mexico and briefly in Arizona since then but really want to go visit some of the places my mom talked about and I've heard about from others.
