I'm 36, and I've been overweight for as long as I can remember. I've let it affect the choices and decisions I've made, and I know that it's limited my options and opportunities.
Now, I want more than just to lose weight; I want to be fit, active, and healthy. II want to find that part of myself that loved to ride bicycles, roller skate, and play softball. It's been more than 20 years, but I think I can find her if I do the work.

My goal is to lose at least half of my starting weight by eating healthy and to become more fit through exercise and activity. I want to make this journey as fund and interesting as i can.
My program is simple: Stay within my calorie range as often as possible, and get into the habit of exercising regularly.
Getting the eating part down has been easier than the exercise, but I'm working at it and I'm not going to give up. I'm doing some walking and am making occasional trips to the pool to tread water and do a bit of swimming; I've even got a set of dumbbells now for strength training. Soon I'm investing in a fitness ball and who knows what else. I'm going with the theory that if I have different things to do, I'll stay interested and keep on truckin'.
I'm 36, married, and living in San Diego, CA; I'm from VA originally. If there's an ideal place to start a healthy lifestyle, this one is it. The weather is amazing, and there are fresh fruits and veggies available in abundance. I never thought I'd become a California girl, but I'm getting sucked in a little more every day.
I love to cook, and I'm enjoying the challenge of cooking healthier and trying new things. I'm also a bit of a computer geek, and spend far too much time messing around on this thing.

Hey I just wanted to welcome you back to Spark and welcome to the team Dont want 2 be fat or skinny how about inbetween. You have not posted in awhile and I wanted to let you now about some great things we have going on! Here are a few things we have going on right now.
The biggest loser challange is a weekly challange that has a winner each monday, whoever loses the most body fat %. We weigh in on Friday, sat, sun and monday. Everyone has their own schedule so we're pretty flexible. If your looking for weekly motivation and goals to work on for the week then this is a great short term challange for you.
The Thin-spiration challange is a challange on losing a dress size. The girls that have joined in on this challange have taken a picture of themselves in a pair of jeans that are one size to SMALL. Our goal is to fit into them by March. You can still join in on this challange, Its not too late.
