I had Great Danes for years and your sweetie Kona looks just like my first girl - Cajun. My last had to be put down last year at age 12. I miss have a big baby to hug, but decided not to have another pet I can't carry if they can't walk, so now I have a cat. Strange experience for a dog person! LOL

hi there friend!
It's been too long. I'm sorta back at spark... trying to get the baby weight off now. just a few more pounds to go that breast feeding hasn't taken care of. Also, I'm riding friends' horses right because, sadly, KC has permanently damaged his front right pastern (a laundry list of pulled tendons, scar tissue, rubbing bone, etc...) and has become a pasture lawn ornament. I've had him looked at by 3 different vets - they all have recommended I consider putting him down because he is in a lot of pain unless I can pay for multiple surgeries. which, well, you know... I guess he's my lemon. I've had 3 other horses before him and none have ever had problems. I was due I suppose. I am sorta looking for another horse but with the economy, i'm taking it slowly.

Well, just wanted to stop by and tell you hi. I hope you are doing well and that you're keeping on your goals!!

Carin (my Boxer) is a great running buddy as long as it is under 5 miles! Charlie (Dane/Lab) when he gets older will hopefully become my 5 - 10 mile buddy! I have been a runner all my life but until the past 10 years I had always been a sprinter. The idea of running more than a half mile in a race was a very strange concept to me! Life happened and I lost the majority of my speed (got hurt in Iraq), actually I was told I would never walk normally again, but I refused to buy it! If you do get into jogging make sure you invest in a good pair of shoes (I have to buy a new pair every few months and they run about $100). Running has become my outlet I find the most beautiful trail around me and just go.
Good luck with the running!

Love the babies! emoticon
