At about 177 pounds on Easter Sunday 2008. Much better but I still have 40 pounds to go. :-)

I'm a 37 year old mother of one beautiful 3 year old girl and a wonderful husband who I've been married to for 8 years. I've struggled with my weight for most of my life and in my 3rd year of marriage, I ballooned to 240 pounds! I'm a 37 year old mother of one beautiful 3 year old girl and a wonderful husband who I've been married to for 8 years. I've struggled with my weight for most of my life and in my 3rd year of marriage, I ballooned to 240 pounds! I was in denial about how bad I looked and felt but unfortunately, I loved food (and still do - LOL!!) too much to do anything about it and I think my husband was afraid that he'd hurt my feelings so he never said anything either.

My journey started in October 2007 after I watched a lady from my church lose 112 pounds. I sat around and watched her just to see if she would really do it and she did! She was heavier than me when she started and by the time she was finished, she was in a size 8. At that point I was disgusted with myself for not deciding to lose the weight with her and here I was still wearing 22 to 24's and she bypassed me to a measly size 8! LOL!

So now I'm down to a size 12 but I need to get my weight down to 140 pounds. I still struggle with food and as a result, haven't lost any additional weight since April of 2008. The plus is that I haven't gained the 60 back that I lost. Nonetheless, it's time to get back on track and finish the race!

My Goals:
Start Weight training on a regular basis. I've never had any junk in my trunk (my butt - LOL!!!) but from what I've seen and heard I can develop the junk I want with serious weight lifting. Ha! Ha! Ha!




My Program:
I've been doing Slim4Life and also just started the Body for Life concept. I'm mainly following the weight lifting program.

Personal Information:
I'm 38, and from Denver. I'm a Regional Staffing Specialist and have been married for 8 years. We have a 3 year old that keeps us busy 24-7! I love to read the Word of God and Joyce Meyers is my favorite author. I grew up as an only child, so I love to spend time by myself. :-)
