Working on my recovery with OA, as i am a recovering bulimic/ COE (compulsive overeater), sugar addict & working on bettering the quality of my life.. The struggles each day for me are overwhelming, and needing tools in my life *such as this site* which put me in a better place emotionally as well as building my strengths and motivation. i am on a journey to a happier, healthier & more well balanced me..

The struggles each day for me are overwhelming, and needing tools in my life *such as this site* which put me in a better place emotionally as well as building my strengths and motivation. i am on a journey to a happier, healthier & more well balanced me..

April 28, of 2011 i made the decision that i had enough. my self esteem suffered greatly, i always felt sluggish and unmotivated, my blood pressure was constantly up, and i felt unhealthy..a Diet Pepsi addict, food & sugar addict & seriously downspiraling at a very fast pace. i was at 317 lbs & slowly started to make changes to my diet, to my activity and here i am today. i joined SparkPeople and am 100% ready to continue this journey. It's not only about weight loss for me, but also good health, positivity & happiness, building my self-esteem and improving my quality of life by about 200%.. i am well on my way!! i can do this, and will!

If i could offer any advice to anyone - it would be this.. One step at a time - One day at a time - Remember to stop & breathe often - Don't take on everything at once, and get overwhelmed, build it gradually - Seek ways to love yourself each day - Find positivity & surround yourself with positive people - Don't make excuses, be real & honest with yourself - Find ways to always make yourself accountable & lastly -- do the hard work.. There will always be good days & bad days & in my experience so far, a bad day comes with lessons & growth - look within and find the lesson , rather than dwell on that bad day.. Turn it into something positive..
