How Fat Can My Feet Get!

Hi! I am a 52 year old woman who needs to lose a butt load of weight. Just been diagnosed with heart failure and severe sleep apnea. Add that to the rheumatoid arthritis and it becomes a do or die situation for weight loss! I HAVE to do something and I need support.

My Goals:
I want to get to 200 pounds and see what happens from there. I would like to accomplish that in a year and a half.

Personal Information:
My name is Debi and I live about 30 minutes outside of Chicago. I work for Humana as a Medical Coding Analyst. My favorite time of day is when I commute on the train. A whole hour of uninterrupted reading! I love the Bears and the Cubs. And I think Chicago is the best city in the world!

Other Information:
Favorite movies are Jaws, Wizzard of Oz, and Citizen Kane. Favorite TV shows are Survivor, Big Brother, Body of Proof, Criminal Minds. Favorite music, just about anything but 50's rockabilly. Favorite authors are Stephen King, Jonathan Kellerman, Michael Connolly.

Hi, Debi!
Hope you are having a decent holiday... and exploring SparkPeople.
There is a lot of information to take in on the site, but you'll find you can tailor it to suit YOU! Take what you need, leave the rest.
It is a work in progress... getting healthier, feeling better about yourself. If you can get your mind in gear, the body will eventually follow.
Life ebbs and flows. Motivation will, too.
SparkPeople will give you all the tools you need to accomplish whatever you desire. There are people here who care. They really do! You will find your niche. Be patient with yourself!
I am trying to get into the grove of Sparking, too. I'd love to see what 200 looks like on the scale! I have RA. I am learning to FLY...Finally Love Yourself. I have a lot of old baggage that is cluttering my whole being. But I have made the commitment to become the best I can become. There is always hope, there are always options. We just have to be open to receiving.
Together we can handle whatever life throws us. There IS strength in numbers... there are literally THOUSANDS of people who will support us on this journey!
I just bought The SPARK, and it looks like it is going to be a really good guide to becoming healthy in all areas of my life.
