Kudos to you for joining us here on the Raw Foodies Team. This will be one of the best decisions you have ever made. Sparkers come here and join this great team for a multitude of reasons. They may be curious about the health benefits of Raw Food and join to learn all about eating Raw. Many join for the weight loss. Many join the Team for a Detox. There are a great many people who do the Raw Food Diet as a Detox but then they realize how alive they feel and how the pounds melted away so effortlessly they decide to continue to eat this way. There are others who will join this Team for the health benefits of a Raw Food Diet. A diet based on raw food can reverse diabetes, arthritis (I personally have experienced this. I went off all of my arthritis meds after only a few weeks), heart disease, cancer (that is how I became involved with the Raw Food Diet when my sister was diagnosed with Lymphoma), eliminates migraines, the list goes on and on.
So join us and learn how to make the transition from SAD (Standard American Diet) to a healthy Raw Food Diet. You will be happy you did!

Sweet Caroline, i read what you wrote on today's journal reflection about "revenge".I understand the feelings of hurt & rejection from your ex-husband not "meeting his obligations" to your son. I have been there...past tense. It took a while, but finally I just forgave him & let it go.It was the most frreeing experience! I choose not to be bitter.Everytime those feelings tried to creep back in I reminded myself to "walk in love". Because I chose to be kind and take the high road, I never had any regrets.I reminded myself that it wasn't him I disliked, but his actions. We all make mistakes & need to be forgiven. If I want to be a reflection of my Savior, Jesus Christ, I need to try to be more like him...and He was & is very forgiving. Another thing that helped me, was I changed my expectations...I never expected my son'd dad to do anything anymore. That way I wasn't disappointed and if he did happen to help out, well then that was just a nice surprise. I resoved myself to handling things and that way I didn't allow myself to get frustrated or bitter....And the good news is...life does go on. I am now happily married to the man of my dreams for 13 years, and someone who gladly bears the "extra burden of expense." Hope my sharing gave you some insight and a smile. Blessings to you on your journey. I will be praying for you. I know it is hard, but it will get better...there is light at the end of the tunnel!

Hey Girl! Thanks for sharing your story about your puppy, Buddy. I hope you are able to get him designated as a service dog. My dog goes almost everywhere with us and we are fortunate to live in an area that is truly "dog friendly"! We even have two local bars that have areas outside for us to sit with our dogs. My bank allows him inside as well. Ask your bank and other places you visit if they will allow him in to make you comfortable. He is a service dog, even without the designation!
Good luck on your journey!
