Update 7/13/12 This has been a major goal and goal in progresss but my life has changed so much. Two years ago I lost my mom who was morbidly obese at the age of 49. I miss her dearly and will remember everytime I think I cannot do something of all the things she was never able to do. Today I hike for my mom, I compete in Team in Training for LLS, I have bungee jumped, sea kayaked am a regular camper. I hope to sky dive soon. She lives through me and I refuse to ever leave behind my kids because I do not take care of myself first. I choose love me just as much if not more than I love others! And to not loose sight of this!

Update 7/9/11 Wow I have officially lost 135 since the beginning of my weight loss journey. Only 60 more to go to be at my final goal!!! I so cant wait!!

HI! I am Patty. I am 29 years old and have been overweight since pueberty. . I have been seeing a great personal trainer and working out 7 days a week! I have also changed my eating habits significantly.

Two of my biggest reasons for these changes in my life are my desire to have children and my fear of obesity related diseases. I currently have high blood pressure and sleep apnea and have a long family history of diabetes. I am starting to get older and really want to change and move in the right direction from this point on.

I want to end with my favorite quote. It is by Jane Austen from Mansfielf Park. "Run mad as often as you choose but do not faint"
