OK, enough is enough!

My weight gain started (as it does for many of us!) with having my children. Through my 20's I was a complete couch potato and gained weight with each pregnancy and never lost it again.
On my daughter's 1st birthday (6 years ago) I was 180lbs and I decided that I had to do something. I joined a Rosemary Connolly Class (exercise and diet) and lost 30lbs, which was great.
Then I stopped going to class and the weight started to creep back and before I knew it I was up to 165lbs again! ...

So 4 years ago I decided that dieting wasn't enough and started getting fit. I took up running, which being completely out of shape and asthmatic to boot probably wasn't the easiest choice, but boy did it pay off!! This time the exercise combined with the diet I got down to 142lbs.
The problem I have now is that I still like my food but my body seems to have adapted to the exercise and the weight is getting harder and harder to shift. A foot injury last spring put me out of running for a couple of months and the weight piled back on again but now it has to GO!
I am getting back to full fitness now but the extra weight is slowing me down so I am hoping when I get back to 140lbs (or less!) I will be more competitive in races again.

Thanks for stopping by Kathryn. I find that looking for the positives in my day puts me in a much healthier place than focusing on stuff that is negative. Positive attracts positive and negative attracts negative. I'm learned through much trial and error that if I want to be happy and healthy, I have to make it happen. I create my life as I want it to be. I'm not a pollyanna, negative stuff happens to me also, but I don't dwell on it, I learn from it and find a positive to it. I believe that for every negative there is a positive, we just have to find it.
Have an awesome day,
Wanda
