Good morning. I saw your post on Indygirls' blog. I hope you don't mind me stopping by with a couple of suggestions and encouragement.
1. You mentioned you are overwhelmed at the thought of how much you have to lose. Don't think of the end number. Set some small and short-term goals. Example: to lose 10 pounds by XX date (you set the date. I use special days like Valentines day etc.). Once you reach this goal you celebrate and set the next small goal. All the small successes add up to one big success !!! WOO HOO !!!
2. You say you want to give up soda. If you can do it that's great. I allow myself one diet dr pepper (my favorite) per day. That way I don't feel deprived and I can look forward to my "treat" each day.
3. Night time eating is a problem for me too. I can ruin a whole good day by eating right at the end of the day. LOL. How about set a challenge for 7 days to not eat after 7:00pm (or whatever time is best for you). Again, a short term goal that you can celebrate then set it again.
