I'm a diabetic..

But my sugar counts are too high.. during the day time its a reasonable count but its the sober one that keeps me on 5 tabs a day,...
My doctor believes i can get off med.. but i went from 1 tab a day so quickly to 5 that I'm afraid i will never get off..

In holland i can't get all the food adviced on my tracker; and glucerna is not here, only an equivelent 3 and a half hours away with train and i can't afford that ...
I have a scale which converts pounds and ounces to kilo's & grams.. but not miniscule, from 1oz & 10 grams are the lowest.. so really precise i cannot be...
i do aprox guess work.. haha...
I'm also originally from England been here 30 years,
And being away from roots makes you wanna sometimes indulge in some comforting food that you grew up with; not alway's so healthy haha lol,..

I am small in height so my weight really takes a toll on me..
when i was pre diabetic i could handle myself pretty good without med and my weight was reasonable aswell;

Then the guy i was totally in love with for 20 years turned out not to be that guy and had decieved me in so many way's that i lost myself for a while in drink.. it took me a long time but through determination with only myself ( i told no-one about it ) i managed to get back to a stage that i only drink now with a celebration or if i fancy...
I feel a winner for that as i didnot need help from no-one..
but now with this diabete's and weight problem i am crying for help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I have been on SP for nearly 7 weeks and am stil trying to get on the right diet..i track everyday.. and get advice to eat more calories, fat & protein.. I'm still trying to find a way how to do that, as i've never been a big eater & i eat pretty healthy food, so its pretty daunting to me.. But i do have faith in SP.. because of all the success stories.. and the motivation * inspiration & support.. I have learnt more here about the carbs &protein than 3 years with a dietricien here in holland.. so yes i have alot of faith...

I do feel better physically less hypo's..

I get at least 10 to 30 mins of exercise done a day (most days..lol..) with 1 or 2 video's from coach nicole, i walk with my bike to the shops and bike back with my shopping..so not too bad..... its just the scales don't move much....haha lol...
I also have a bowl problem which has got a little better on the cramps.. they don't accur so often..
Drinking alot of water a day is good but am in & out the bathroom all day..hahaha...
success to all on SP

Glad to hear that your daughter is doing well!! May will be here before you know it. If I lived closer I would make her a baby afghan. I love to crochet but never seem to have enough time but since I am cutting my hours back at work soon hopefuly will have enough time to resume my hobbies.

Please don't feel like you have to just post your BSs in chat. We all like to hear what everyone is up to outside of just discussing our diabetes. And you don't have to post everyday. I haven;t been able to keep up daily but do try to get on a couple of times a week. Just having that connection helps tremendously and we are all old friends now and comfortable with everyone!!! I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we enjoy your company in chat and have missed you!!

Thank you for the friend Add Tisha, I added you as well if you don't mind. I have been juggling both my spark teams, so as of late I find it easier to just respond to peoples blogs and blog myself. Yes I did hurt a rib but it just takes time to heal and it is getting better a little at a time, but thank you for inquiring. I am sorry You have been having computer problems, that is a frustration to me when that happens. I have a husband and son into programming and hardware so if I have a problem they can usually solve it or know who to talk to to get it fixed, Thank goodness, I am techi impared lol. Have a great week. Susan
