Hello I am a 29 year old recently married bride. I've been active with sparkpeople for 9 months now and never really wrote an introduction. I don't know why. Maybe because part of me never really believed I would ever be here. I have always been a slender active young person and never had a weight problem. (See my favorite picture at age 19.) Hello I am a 29 year old recently married bride. I've been active with sparkpeople for 9 months now and never really wrote an introduction. I don't know why. Maybe because part of me never really believed I would ever be here. I have always been a slender active young person and never had a weight problem. (See my favorite picture at age 19.) In fact guys used to tell me I need to gain weight.
But I never got too heavy into good nutrition and I started in the working world and became less active. I little by little had that creeping weight come on to me that I used to talk about what happened with other people.
And I made all kinds of excuses. It's because I'm now 25. It's because of my allergies and asthma. All the while my self-esteem getting lower and me not liking my body.
Finally when my man asked me to marry him and I was 156-160 lbs I decided to admit the truth and do something about it. I decided to stop being lazy. I researched a work-out class I woudl like and she recommended this site and I love it!
I no longer feel like my body is my enemy. I feel much more in control and educated. I feel like I will reach my goals and more positive about myself.
And I love it!

My Goals:
I made it to 131 for my wedding loosing 25 lbs. Then gained 5 lbs back! It took me a while but I am finally at my goal weight of 129! Now I will concentrate on living healthy and toning up for the summer.

My Program:
Walking on my breaks at work 30 - 40 minutes a day. Working out on the Wii Fit. One hardcore cardio day a week.

Personal Information:
I was born in Detroit MI and live in Waterford MI.

Other Information:
I love poetry! I love reading the bible! I love my man!

Tashena,
Just wanted to check in and say hello.

I had been completely off program for a few months, but I am back on track and feeling good, eating healthy and getting in the exercise. I even see the scale moving a little backwards.

As for the marriage, we are doing wonderful. I not only love my husband, I can truly say that we are friends once again.

God is so good.

I want you to know that you and the husband are in my prayers. I think of you often, pray for you daily, just don't post like I should.
