10-09-09 This is the second time I've joined Spark. The first time I joined was March 15th of 2007. Between January, 2007 and October, 2008, I lost 90 pounds (went from 256 pounds down to 166 pounds) by using the bestlife plan and Spark. I've regained 22 pounds back and need to get back on track. I need to track my food and fitness again. I want to reach my goal: to weigh 152.

12-11-09 Weight dropped to 179, out of the 180's
12-11-09 Asked to sub for 1st yoga class with only 2 hours notice

02-01-10 Saw 172.6 on the scales this morning, that's an 8.8 pounds loss in the month of January since the new year began

02-16-10 Became a grandmother for the first time, my granddaughter, Joscelyn was born.
03-04-10 Saw 171.5 on the scales this morning, spin instructor noticed and commented on my weight loss
03-06-10 Danced with my son at his wedding, my new daughter-in-law looked like a goddess in her wedding dress.
03-11-10 Saw 170.4 and I've reached the half way mark on my Spark page ticker this time to reach my overall goal
03-17-10 Saw 167.3 on my scales this morning!
06-17-10 Taught first spinning class
06-22-10 Taught first step and tone class
07-07-10 Taught two fitness classes in one day (Yoga at 7AM and a Spinning class at 4PM)
08-30-10 Began teaching a scenic cycling and strength training class twice a week (Mon, Wed) in additional to two yoga classes a week at IUSB.
10-23-10 Began teaching a 75 minute yoga class (Saturday mornings) at Memorial Health and Lifestyle Center.
12-31-10 Associate of Arts in General Studies Degree from Indiana University

Thank you for the goodie, and the note! Especially the apart about body awareness--this is something I've struggled with (I wouldn't have messed my hands and hip up so badly if I had been body aware enough to know that "ow this really hurts but I can push through this" really isn't a smart answer, LOL) so that part was especially appreciated!

I try to be positive--sometimes it's hard, because as I was talking to my MIL about recently, I understand how easy it is to get caught in the trap of "I can't," especially when you have very real, valid reasons why you can't do x, y, and z. But I try really hard to focus on what I can do, not what I can't do. And you know what, 10 years ago I literally had trouble walking. I had to rent a wheel chair if I wanted to do things like go to the zoo or a museum because I couldn't walk that much. And now I'm fencing, taking kickboxing classes, and walking regularly! So that's the power of CAN.

THIS CAMO CAN.
