My Goals:
I would like to keep this up instead of short term loss and back to gaining.



My Program:
My program is to change one small thing in my life at a time. So far I have added:

Sometimes walking during lunch when I have the time.

Replacing refined carbs with good, high fiber carbs.

Aerobics with weights and step every day.

Reducing portion size and calorie content.

Gave up diet soda and most items with sweeteners.

Abdominal tape almost daily.

Adding upper body on the weekends.

Adding flax and flax oil to add Omega 3 to boost my good cholesterol.

Good to hear about SWAN. I'm a nurse and made it up for my license plate and it stands for super women and nurse, ski with a nurse, super wife and nurse. I love dogs to. I have 2 now. They bring so much joy and happiness. I ran my 5K in July. It was actually a triathlon. I haven't signed up for anything else but think 10K is the next. Have a great Labor Day! emoticon

Welcome to the Couch to 5k running group!!!! Stop by the message board and introduce yourself to the team. On the team page you will find a thread for each training week. Click on week one and post were you are at in your training. This is a great way to meet others who are in the same phase of training as you. Some of my best friends were in my training week one and we worked through the program together sharing victories, questions, comments, and ideas. I look forward to learning more about you. I will be popping in on the Weeks 1 - 3 training to help answer any questions that might pop up and to cheer you on to your goals! Be blessed! Be a runner!

I was surprised by how different running was from other activity I do-which is primarily Zumba (both regular and the Toning class that focuses more on ST moves) so I'm taking it nice & slow! My stamina is great from the other exercises, but my shins still give me a little bit of grief! One week at a time...
