I'm an adventurous, 22 year old girl with a lot of ambition! I love food and is in need to have a healthy relationship with it! I am currently living in Thailand where I teach english, but my heart lies in South Africa where my friends and family lives. I am very energetic and love the outdoors! Because of the lovely and delicious Thai food I have recently indulged in, I have packed on a few pounds. So now I am working on shedding them and the extra I brought with me from South Africa!

My Goals:
Firstly, I want to get my mindset right. Too often I had an unhealthy relationship with food, always feeling guilty when I ate too much or binged, but never wanting to face the problem head on. I've always seen certain foods as ''bad''. So for now I want to turn my relationship with food to a healthy one.
I'm sure when I get that settled, the weight would start dropping. I want to lose around 25 pounds. because I am currently living in Thailand, none of my family and friends (except my boyfriend) will see me in a very long time, so when that time come I want to look as fit and healthy as ever, leaving them in awe! Haha!


My Program:
My program involves counting calories. I try to stay between 1000 and 1200 a day.
I am also doing the Insanity workout program and have now started with my second week. I totally love it and can feel the changes happening in my body already!

My name is Monique and I'm 22 years old. I come from South Africa but i am now living in Thailand where I'm an english teacher. I also have a bachelors degree in Genetics, Human Physiology and Psychology and hope to return to university to get my Masters degree in Musictherapy. Other Information:
I am a very colourful and creative person, and have many aspects to my personality! I love music and play piano, guitar and the ukulele (an instrument I mastered in Thailand) and also love to sing! I'm also an artist of some sort and love painting and sketching. I totally love baking and cooking and I'm always busy with new ideas! I love the outdoors...I like hiking and jogging with my dad who is a very big inspiration to me as he motivates me to stay healthy. He has been the perfect example to me of what a healthy person should be like, inside and out! I love going to the beach, my favourite place in the whole world is Cape Town, South Africa. I'm also a total Jesusfreak and will always give all the credit to Him. Without Him, I would be nothing...

    You burn 800 calories a day! That's so impressive! Wow! I hope that motivates me to work out more! My program is going well, I've been working out 3-5 a week. And I just started swimming again which I love. I have theumatoid arthritis in forty joints, so it's nice to have a workout where I can push myself and there's not a lot of joint pain.

    I'm totally with you on the eating too much healthy food. I ate like four apples the other day. It was like I forgot that that's still 400 calories! Embarrassing.
