Another birthday has come and gone, I really need to start looking after myself and stop sloughing off. I have been trying to lose this weight it seems like every year for the last 20 years, the problem is that I let everything else get in the way, excuses and being busy. I neglect myself in the process.
Here is a little about me, I am a 51 woman who has went through some major life changes. I have been through a lifetime of abuse, I have been through a job loss, divorce after 24 years, I have four kids, they have all moved out now. So the first time since I was 19 years old, I have an empty nest ! I relocated to Northern California (Feb 2012), after living up in Washington State for almost 30 years.
I am in a flux on trying to find out who I am and start caring about me for once in what seems to be like forever, since I have always been looking after everyone else and neglected my own needs and wants for so many years.
I found a good man who gives me the love I have been needing, it is such a refreshing change to have someone that holds your hand and tells you he loves you often through out the day. This year he and I got married, exactly three years to the date that I arrived here in California. (February 21st, 2015)!
I am currently job hunting for that dream job, taking temp jobs as I get them and trying build myself back up after this major life spiral that started in Fall 2006.
Also I am also an obsessed computer g33kgirl anything that has to do with computers I am all over it. I do volunteer tech support, photo-manipulation, database development and more. I was a MS Office trainer, Oracle/Unix DBA, IT Support for 15+ years.
I am looking for support friends that I can encourage and they can encourage me also. I am a super nice person and very approachable, I talk as well as listen.
One of the things that brought me here (it was the same day I joined) was I was shopping at the mall, and I had a flashback, of when I was in great shape and how I could wear the cutest clothes.
Okay that is enough for now ... gotta go do my Sparkpeople Tracking :)
Primary Goal: To be in feel and look better from June 2015 forward.
Goal #1: Get under 200 lbs.
Goal #2: Get to my goal weight of 145.
Goal #3: Eventually wear a single digit size clothes.
Goal #4: Have a Normal BMI (for my height it is 154 lbs.)
Other Goals (When reached I will notate the date):
225- (go through clothes and donate to the thrift store)
220-(buy some hair accessories and shoes)
215 - (going to get a haircut)
210 - (buy new makeup)
199 - (Go Salsa Dancing with my husband)

No real set program yet, just watch what I eat and exercise more.
And start keeping track of my exercise and eating habits.
Start drinking 8 glasses of water a day.
Take a multi-vitamin daily.
Try to be happier and more energized with my life.
