My Goals:
When I first joined SparkPeople, I'd seen my weight creeping up and decided that I needed to be more aware of what I was eating and how much I was exercising. Now that I've reached my goal, I'm keeping the Spark alive by adding nonweight-related goals:

THE PHYSICAL:
- Do some ST every day.

AND THE EMOTIONAL:
- Be brave in all things.
- Face challenges head on.
- Keep focus on quality work
- Envision positive outcomes for each day
- Live in the present, neither in fear of the future nor dwelling on the past.
- Make sure that every day I do a little of everything that gives me joy, like talking with SparkFriends, reading, writing, and walking.

All this will make for a VERY busy day, but what the hell. Life is short; make the most of it while you can!

My Program:
Make sure to eat at least SOME breakfast every day, for a kick-start!

Aim to walk a total of 5 miles, 10,000 steps, a day.

Eat only when hungry and stop when full. (This is NOT easy, by the way.)

Do daily pilates-type exercises to keep my hips and back limber.

Personal Information:
I recently moved to Port Charlotte, FL, from Exeter, NH, and am 66 with an emotional age of about 36.

5'7"

Went from 172 in February 2005 to a low of 111 a few summers ago (much too low for me)

Now maintaining and trying to stay below or near120, mainly to fit into more of my clothes and have a flat tummy.

This, too, isn't always easy, because Bill and I love to cook and try out new recipes all the time!

Other Information:
My passions lately are writing; walking; Sparking; gardening; and reading. Of course, that's all when I'm not working as a college textbook editor and local newspaper columnist.

Sue, I'm still old-school enough to prefer a map and my own written directions when it comes to going someplace unfamiliar.
Blaire is much like Delia was when it comes to softball. I coached for years with my significant other and there were kids that...well, for their own safety you kept them buried in the outfield, even as they got older, ha ha. India mentioned something about perhaps she'd be better off in dance class. But at least at this age it's all about enjoying yourself and learning the basics. And so far she is.

Yeah, fire in the Ossipees....bayle mountain to be exact. across the valley from the hill i'm living on. Figures I'd hear about it from someone half way around the world, ha ha. No smoke, but the sunset looks a little weird and If I go out in my yard i can hear the helicoptors flying back and forth.
Truthfully, it's been a year that had left me feeling pretty beaten down. But with the new grandson being born in January and other good things happening, I feel like the skies are brightening a bit.

ROFLMBO!! Actually I'm fairly afraid of a kayak. I've done plenty of canoeing and it can be treacherous enough. Our pontoon boat capacity is only around 4 adults and that is plenty. We have only had 3 people on it. They don't allow drinking on boats in my area.
