Doing Great, Always a New Challenge

I have been a Spark community member for about four years. In that time I have become confident about my ability to maintain a healthier weight and have incorporated physical activity into my life. I know that I have many tools for maintaining my weight and my health and I feel a lot less crazy about food issues. I recently made very good progress with the 30 day plateau busting challenge. I moved from obsession with the scale to weekly weighing and started getting over my starve and binge cycles. But I still need help with "stress eating" - especially now that I am under work pressure - so I'm trying Spark Coach for the next month.

Thanks for the friend add. When we started the Ludwig plan, I quit logging food, other than to look at the % of fat, protein, and carbs. Am sure that the calories on some days were 2000 or so. Especially in first few days. But it wasn't long until, just never seemed hungry. Did eat on a schedule so would remember to eat. Besides nuts, actually had some cheese, which I was staying away from. By the end of the first month, sure the calories were more in the 1600 range. I use the scale at the gym, and didn't weigh until the end of the first month, and don't plan to weigh again until end of second month. We are pretty relaxed on this eating plan, but are staying on the plan. And no "whites". Clothes are getting looser.

Hi - Thanks for you comment on my blog post. We are using the book "Always Hungry" by Dr. Ludwig. Hasn't been out too long. My wife did a lot of looking before we settled on this plan. The plan seems to have a good science background. I am finding that I really don't feel hungry, and the things that I can't have, I don't miss. Will be interesting to see how it goes for the long haul.
