Suzi's healthy lifestyle change

Last year I got on a healthy lifestyle change and over 3-4 months of eating right and exercise, lost about 30 pounds, with another 15 trickling off in the months following. I've maintained that for about 9 months now, but still have another 10-15 I'd like to loose. The first 45 were sooooo much easier, and the motivation to stick to the plan is lower now that I've reached my initial goals. So I'm joining this site in hopes of increasing the inspiration to keep going.

My Goals:
My goal is to stick with my changes, and listen to my body. Right now I can see from how I feel, move and look, that I have some more weight my body is willing to lose. My other goal is to know when to stop - to really trust my body.

My Program:
* Pay attention to portion size and my appetite. Eat only when I'm actually hungry, and not eat more than I need.

* Maintain a regular exercise program of 30 mins at least 4 times a week

Personal Information:
I live in the Bay area, SF. I am a clinical child psychologist with my own practice, http://www.advancingminds.com/ I am also addicted to knitting, and design and sell my own patterns: http://www.suzisknits.com/

Hello~
Welcome to Runner Girls United! Well done on your weight loss to date...and a marathon runner too...way to go! Love your long hair, my best friend through elementary school had long long hair like that..pretty. Looking forward to picking your brain for advice on my Fall 09 Half Marathon. Take care, and keep up the good work!

Thanks for the great advice. A marathon??? How do you even begin to train for that?? It's definately a dream, but how do I make it a goal???

Love your hair! I have waist length hair too and love long hair! Was reading your comment on the marathon team and respected your answer. You are a great advice giver. Thanks for being there for others.

you are doing it, you should be so proud of yourself.

Marathon, I have never done a marathon, but YOU have.

Keep it up and make sure you take a few extra supplements.
