If you're tired of starting over, stop giving up

The definition of insanity:
Doing the same thing you've been doing, and expecting a different result.

Let's face it: Nothing changes until something changes.

It's all about the choices. Each one takes you either closer or further from your goal.

Motivation doesn't last. But then, neither does a bath. That's why we bathe every day.

I'm finished with being fat.
I'm finised with being out of breath after a flight of stairs.
I'm finished with being passed over because of my weight.
I have the power in me to change that -- and believe me -- I WILL

Thus begins the journey of baby-steps that will get me to my weight goal, and continue on into a life-time of maintenance.

Hi Susie,

I have been blessed to run into a group (by telephone) that focuses on the AA solution which is the 12 steps -- working that side of the street, the food has become miraculously (and I do mean MIRACULOUSLY) not an issue in my life for close to 4 weeks (in a row as I said on my blog this morning!!!). By putting some time and effort into the work of the steps, I have been given a reprieve from my compulsion to eat, exactly as the Big Book promises, for 24 hours at a time. If you're interested, try dialing into a Big Book meeting for OA -- you can listen to a recording of their Foundation meeting by dialing 209-255-1099 P.I.N. 740111, then #3. Elsewise, it you go to www.oa.org you can see a list of in-person, telephone and web meetings to choose from. If there is anything else I can do to help you, please let me know. I'm always available for questions.
