New Year, New Me!

3-YEAR LONG TERM GOALS for 2017-2020
1. lose 100 pounds
2. make fitness a natural part of my week
3. make healthy food choices a natural daily activity
4. allow for guilt-free treat days

SHORT TERM for 2017:
Lose 25 pounds from today, 1/16/17 to 5/16/17

Action Plan:
1. Fitness:
a. Do water aerobics 2 times per week to include a strength training component
b. Strength training 2-3 X per week
c. Increase daily steps

2. Diet:
a. Eat 3 nutritionally balanced, healthy meals per day to include at least 4 vegetables and fruits daily, a low fat protein per meal
b. Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily

3. Emotional/Mental Health:
a. Plan meals and schedule workouts
b. Sleep ~ Get 7-8 hours per night!
c. Daily positive self-talk.
d. Daily spiritual reading.
e. Weekly Spark interaction
f. Evaluate my goals monthly to make any necessary changes
g. Chart weight weekly on Monday mornings, and chart fitness minutes on the Progress Calendar that I keep on my desk; chart weight monthly on Spark

Work toward losing 10 pounds, reward myself then move forward to the next 10 pounds.

Evaluate my goals regularly to make necessary changes.

300 fitness minutes weekly

Make nutritional choices including at least 8 glasses of water daily, 5 or more fruits and veggies daily.

Plan meals and schedule workouts

Get 7-8 hours sleep nightly.

Daily prayer and positive self-talk.

2. Find fitness activities that I enjoy and do them consistently; a sedentary lifestle is not an option.

I've been overweight since I was a child. I will never give up on changing that!

    Hi Susie...you are doing great!! So proud of you:-) I love the idea of encouraging and holding each other accountable by checking in every other day, I'm just worried about letting you down. I have so much happening with family, work, and health issues, I'm afraid I'll "drop the ball" yet again and not keep up with you....but I need to do something, so I'd like to try (with apologies in advance) if you're willing?
