Hi! My name is Susan. I had always been overweight all of my life. It affected me a lot (a lot of pain), and to some extent, still affects me now. About 11 years ago, I started Weight Watchers. I took off 50 pounds, and happily, have maintained that loss for over 10 years (hit goal 04/21/02). I joined Sparkpeople because I like tracking my nutrition. I have lost the weight, it's true, but for my mental & physical wellbeing, I believe I should maintain the loss with good habits. That includes good nutrition and exercise, which I use Spark to track.

My Goals:
I've lost the weight. Now I need to maintain it for a lifetime. I want to eat well & feel well. I grew up fat; I am thinner, but I want to be the strongest I can be.
My Program:
I follow calorie counting through Spark. Definitely not a low-carber. I spent many years on WW, it taught me a lot, but I like being on my own. Not that I'm always successful, but it's my choices.
Personal Information:
Single. Computer programmer. Late 30's (let's not be too specific!).
Other Information:
I love to read,run, dance in my living room, and cook! The last of which helps me maintain my loss. I cook more now than I did when I was overweight!
