Hi, I joined SP as an inspiration tool to give me more of a focus and support system to losing the extra baggage that follows me around every day!
I'm determined to make this life changing journey, and get this weight off to feel better about myself. I've been overweight for over 25 years, so if I want to feel good and look good sometime in my lifetime, I better jump on the wagon and do it already. I know it's tough, and until now, I realize I was always looking towards tomorrow or next week to begin, so that day has finally come, and I'm roaring to go through this journey of healthy living. I'm tired of fad diets that don't work. I'm actually enjoying feeling better, eating better and seeing the weight come off.
I've been exercising now too, which I haven't done since I was in high school, and boy does it feel good!
I quit smoking on September 10, 2008 (after smoking for 28 1/2 years), and although I feel so good about not smoking, it has taken a toll on my waistline. I never desired "junk" foods as much as since quitting - I need to find my way through this - of not stuffing myself with sweets and foods that are no good for me!
To get fit, healthy, and love the physical image I see in the mirror.
To learn to eat to fuel my body, and not for any other reason.
Calories input- 1500 max
Eating 5 f/v, 3 protein and 2 whole grain
Cardio & Strength Training - at least 30 minutes
I'm 44, and have 3 kids - 26, 22 and 6 and am also a grandmother of 3 - I need more energy!!!
I work as a Paralegal in South Florida, and a desk job just doesn't do well for the hips!
