Susan - I also took typing in high school (on an electric typewriter, no computers back then, LOL) and also in college. I was a secretary, so I can type pretty fast. I told my son (who is very unmotivated to do anything but video games in the summer) that he needed to learn a life skill and do something useful this summer.
I remember those type of typing teachers! I had math teachers that would be arrested today for what they did when I was in school!
I hated making corrections on a typewriter, especially when we were timed for a typing test! Ugh!!!
My father is one of those who looks and pecks to find the keys on a keyboard and I don't want my kids doing that, especially in this age where typing is so important for so many jobs! 1400 days ago
Susan - Thankfully my dad was released from the hospital yesterday. It seems to be a constant thing though (going to the hospital and out again only to repeat the process).
Congrats on your Foodsaver and freezer! I used to have a Foodsaver but sold it due to the fact that I only have a small side by side fridge so the freezer part is super small. We don't have room anywhere for a free-standing freezer except maybe in our shed, but we don't have it hooked up to electricity so I make do with what I have.
You can save so much money by stocking up when you find a great deal. I'm trying hard to use up what we have in the freezer so I can stock up on some good meat deals in the near future.
