My Journey Within

Hi, I'm Susan and I want to make lifestyle changes. I call this process "my journey within". Because most overeating problems come from what's eating you and not what you are eating, I must travel inside to try and deal with those issues so I can get on with the rest of my life.

My Goals:
My goal is to be able to walk and have good balance again. (I can walk now but with a lot of pain and not too far and can't stand for long periods)

I plan to work until 70. Wish me luck!

My Program:
Baby steps for me. Changing one thing at a time.

Personal Information:
I'm born and raised in Culpeper, VA in central Virginia about an hour from Washington,DC. I retired from the telephone company and found a new career in Education.

Other Information:
I enjoy quiet times with my dog, Jake while watching good television programs. I enjoy a good book and spending time with grandchildren.

Welcome to the 12 Weeks to Walking Team. It's a very diverse group from all over the world! Some can't walk 100 steps and some are doing 5K Walks. Look over the LINKS with the 3 levels, Best Foot Forward, Beginner and Intermediate and decide where you should begin. Print off the schedule in the level you choose and just start walking with us.

We'll be waiting to learn all about what you see as you walk along on this journey with us!! We want to hear all about what you see and hear where you walk. We get lots of weather reports and spring flower sightings. Those things are posted in the "Walking with Purpose" thread. Hope you'll join in the geography lesson!
