Time to get serious!

I work the night shift, and seem to be snacking almost continuously.
My weight has increased steadily since leaving the Army, but now I need to loose the weight for my health. I want to be the slender Granddaddy.

Thanks for noticing my old Wolf range! I got it in 1998 when I converted from electric to gas. When I had my kitchen redone last year, I kept the range. It's 15 years old but I don't think they make concentric ring gas burners anymore. I love it!!

"...the scale can only give you a numerical reflection of your relationship with gravity. That’s it. It cannot measure beauty, talent, purpose, life force, possibility, strength, or love. Don’t give the scale more power than it has earned. Take note of the number, then get off the scale and live your life. You are beautiful!”

emoticon for adding me as a friend and for another meaningful comment on my blogs! Indeed taking my mother back at home isn't possible as my father doesn't want it. He has Parkinson and he cannot cope, even with someone helping. Also, she is now in a wheelchair and their house is built on 3 levels, with the bedrooms upstairs and no possibility to create one downstairs.

I was so moved by your comment on my blog about my mom and Alzheimer's! I'll keep being the 'squeaky wheel' even though it isn't always comfortable!
