Oh good! You've made lots of little changes. Sounds like you're doing great. I'm doing pretty well with eating - I'm using a hunger scale - it's a card I keep in my purse and I use it to determine whether I'm really hungry or not. It's working pretty well for me. I'm also drinking more water, which is great. My next step is to pump up the exercise - I'm not doing much right now. I think I'm going to start with five days a week, but only expect myself to exercise for 20 minutes each time. I think consistency and getting into the habit is more important than doing really great workouts right now. So that's where I'm at! Keep it up, Jess. I know the feeling of just not caring whenever I'm going through a tough time. But it's hard - it feels like just when I'm getting "on track" with my health, something comes up in my personal life that feels like a crisis and I stop caring about my own health, wellbeing, etc. I think what you and I need to learn is how to continue to care about ourselves and continue making that effort, even when other things feel so urgent and important. Much easier said than done, but life is a series of events and it will always be unpredictable, so we need to learn how to maintain ourselves amidst all the chaos, I think...
Anyway, have a GREAT week! What are you working on right now? I am working on writing down my food intake and doing three days of cardio this week. I need to get back into this slowly, but I want to do enough to feel better about myself by this time next week.
Yes! We can do this and there's nothing better than a fresh start. In fact, I'm going to go write a blog about my 2010 goals right now. I ned to have some goals and some rewards to keep me going. Right now I'm lowering my expectations to make my goals attainable - I'm starting with cardio 5 days a week for at least 20 minutes each session.
