Me in August 2008. I took this the first day I started Weight Watchers at 204 pounds.

At 147, on vacation in Florida. This picture really makes me realize how far I've come - not only in weight loss, but confidence and overall self esteem.

I'm on the right! We were launching a new Body Jam class, so the instructors were striking a pose!

Finishing what I started

I started out trying to lose weight back in August - I started Weight Watchers and lost about 22 pounds - went from 204 to 182. Then the holidays came and I puffed back up to 194.4. I hit my first goal in June of 2009, only 6 short months after starting up with Sparkpeople.

From that point on I've struggled to lose a significant amount of weight. This culminated at the end of August where I hit my low to 147, went on vacation for a week and regained up to 155. In a WEEK. Since ...

From that point on I've struggled to lose a significant amount of weight. This culminated at the end of August where I hit my low to 147, went on vacation for a week and regained up to 155. In a WEEK. Since then I've gained even more weight - the holidays came and went but I still struggle with weight. I reached a peak of 166 a couple of weeks ago. Since then I've been trying to get back into the 150s at least but it's been rough going.

Part of what makes it hard, believe it or not, is my job. I wanted for so long to be a personal trainer and group ex instructor - well, now I do both, but my hours are so irregular and my desk job is long gone but so is my stability. I don't fuel my body properly with good nutrition and then after teaching and training I find myself eating whatever is in front of me.

Of all people I should be able to get my weight down with all the exercise I do. But when it comes to finding motivation and will power I'm the worst cheerleader for myself. I spend so much time motivating others that at the end of the day I find it hard to motivate myself.

I had success with spark before...I'm hoping to reconnect with friends and make some new ones to help me, once again, on my journey. I look forward to helping you with yours!

My Goals:
Right now I'd like to increase my strength training program, decrease caloric intake.

Ideally I'd like to get back down to that "147" I was before. My old goal of 135 seems like a pipe dream...so first things first - getting down to 150, then 145. After that, who knows.

My Program:
Right now I'm at a bit of a loss, so this section will stay as it is. I know what to do, I lack the will to do it. Exercise isn't the problem - diet is.

Personal Information:
I have the most amazing, wonderful and supportive boyfriend in the whole world. I have 2 beautiful kittens named Lily and Nala that I just adore. I work part time as a group fitness instructor, part time as a personal trainer. I spend all my energy motivating other people I find I have little left for myself.

emoticon Happy June!
emoticon Been away from SPARK for awhile due to life's busy chores.
In the last three weeks I have:
emoticon gardened, gardened, gardened. the rainy weather made the grass grow so much, I had 8 new rose bushes, annuals and perennials to fool with and weeds, weeds, weeds.
emoticon My Son graduated from high school and ALL the family came in. I did ALL the cooking for a whole week which meant groceries, cooking, cleaning, and starting all over again. Plus, the house needed to be in tip top shape. Have I made you tired yet?
emoticon Training for that marathon was a priority. I kept up with it and the big day is Sunday. 26.2 here I come. emoticon
emoticon SPent the last two weekends up at the cabin. Boy is there snow and no internet. Trying to fit in laundry and household while working during the week makes it hard.
emoticon Now that I have complained....how are you doing? emoticon I hope all has been going great and you are on track with all you goals, dreams, desires, and plans. I hope to go back through your blogs and reward your success. Take Care and thanks for being my friend! emoticon

emoticon It's the weekend. I am home this weekend to get a handle on my garden. Time to start cleaning and prepping. Last night we hit 36 degrees.

emoticon I am wishing all my friends four hours of time for themselves. If you had that four magical hours to do anything you want for yourself, how would you choose to use them? Let me know if you get a chance.

emoticon An update on me. I am at my goal weight now and am struggling with how to keep it off FOREVER. I will be blogging on this subject over the next three months as I commit to a healthy lifestyle.

emoticon Time to put away the sunglasses and get ready for fall. Can you believe summer is almost over? We dipped below 40 degrees the other night! My gardens are saying they have had enough growth.

emoticon Enjoy this month. I call it the calm before the storm. Fall calls to me with smells of apple crisp, peach cobbler, raisin cookies, pumpkin pie...I am really going to have to monitor those calories if I want to avoid weight gain. emoticon

How about you? How are your goals coming along?
here's wishing you a happy three day weekend! emoticon
