Hi Everyone! My name is Kathie and I'm about to embark on the road to MILF status! =) I recently gave birth (by c-section after 26 hours of labor) to a beautiful, bouncing, baby girl in December of 2007. Because I had a high risk pregnancy, I was not able to do the fitness things I wanted to do during my pregnancy. On top of that, my morning sickness (more like All Day Sickness) was out of control only allowing me to eat carbs. Between the no exercise and the carb eating, I went from 120 to 201! I'm now at a whopping 164 and looking the worst I ever have. I've never gained this much. (My max was at 153 three years ago. I lost all the weight and hit goal just two weeks before I found out we were expecting!) My clothes dont fit. I dont feel attractive and I feel unhealthy. This is not how I want to live or the example I want to set for my daughter. It's time to take charge and get off the couch and get onto that treadmill. It's time to hit the weights and not the remote control. LOL!!!!
I enlisted Spark People back in January of 2007 but went a stray when I took on the Nutrisystem plan. I didnt realize at the time all the wonderful resources and tools Spark People had to offer. I am now back and my official re-entry into SparkPeople is April 2, 2008. ;0)
I am, by no means, new to fitness and nutrition. As a child, I was always fit and into the whole healthy lifestyle. While my family ate unhealthy, I ate healthy. Talk about feeling 'out of place. ' LOL!! In high school, I was training to be a body builder but never really competed. I was always into eatting right and working out (cardio classes and lifting weights were always my favorites). I was never a runner, mainly due to asthma, until about a year ago - just before I had DD. Thanks to the Cardio Coach mp3's (www.cardiocoach.com), they turned me into a runner! I LOVED running! It made me feel great and according to my asthma doctor I had "never sounded so good." I am hoping to regain my stamina and eventually run a 5K and maybe even a 10K.

Another thing I know for sure now is that youíve got to ask yourself, What kind of life do you want and how close are you to living it?
