Make this moment last

12/13/14
'Twas the night after Christmas, and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring—excepting a mouse.
The stockings were flung in haste over the chair,
For hopes of St. Nicholas were no longer there.
The children were restlessly tossing in bed,
For the pie and the candy were heavy as lead;

'Twas the night after Christmas, and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring—excepting a mouse.
The stockings were flung in haste over the chair,
For hopes of St. Nicholas were no longer there.
The children were restlessly tossing in bed,
For the pie and the candy were heavy as lead;
While mamma in her kerchief, and I in my gown,
Had just made up our minds that we would not lie down,
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my chair to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I went with a dash,
Flung open the shutter, and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow,
Gave the lustre of noon-day to objects below.
When what to my long anxious eyes should appear
But a horse and a sleigh, both old-fashioned and queer;
With a little old driver, so solemn and slow,
I knew at a glance it must be Dr Brough.
I drew in my head, and was turning around,
When upstairs came the Doctor, with scarcely a sound,
He wore a thick overcoat, made long ago,
And the beard on his chin was white with the snow.
He spoke a few words, and went straight to his work;
He felt all the pulses,—then turned with a jerk,

And laying his finger aside of his nose,
With a nod of his head to the chimney he goes:—
"A spoonful of oil, ma'am, if you have it handy;
No nuts and no raisins, no pies and no candy.
These tender young stomachs cannot well digest
All the sweets that they get; toys and books are the best.
But I know my advice will not find many friends,
For the custom of Christmas the other way tends.
The fathers and mothers, and Santa Claus, too,
Are exceedingly blind. Well, a good-night to you!"
And I heard him exclaim, as he drove out of sight:
These feastings and candies make Doctors' bills right!"

11/11/15 Over the river and through the woods to Grandmother's house we go.The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh through the white and drifted snow.
Over the river and through the woods,Oh, how the wind does blow.It stings the toes and bites the noses as over the ground we go.
Over the river and through the woods to have a full day of play.Oh, hear the bells ringing ting-a-ling-ling,For it is Christmas Day.
Over the river and through the woods,Trot fast my dapple gray;Spring o'er the ground just like a hound,For this is Christmas Day.
Over the river and through the woods and straight through the barnyard gate.It seems that we go so dreadfully slow;It is so hard to wait.
Over the river and through the woods,Now Grandma's cap I spy.Hurrah for fun; the pudding's done;Hurrah for the pumpkin pie

10/4/14: October morn
We danced until the night became a brand new day
Two lovers playing scenes from some romantic play
October morning still can make me feel that way

Look at what you've done
Why? You've become a grown-up girl
I still can hear you crying
In a corner of your room

Look how far we've come
So far from where we used to be
But not so far that we've forgotten
How it was before

October morn
We danced until the night became a brand new day
Two lovers playing scenes from some romantic play
October morning still can make me feel that way

Me and you
I can still remember it all

October morn
We danced until the night became a brand new day
Two lovers playing the scenes from some romantic play
October morning still can make me feel that way

October morn
We danced, we danced that night away, yes
Two lovers playing the scenes from some romantic play
October morning still can make me feel that way
October morning still can make me feel that way
October morning still can make me feel that way

7/6/14: Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Those days of soda and pretzels and beer
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Dust off the sun and moon and sing a song of cheer

Just fill your basket full of sandwiches and weenies
Then lock the house up, now you're set
And on the beach you'll see the girls in their bikinis
As cute as ever but they never get 'em wet

Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Those days of soda and pretzels and beer
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
You'll wish that summer could always be here

Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Those days of soda and pretzels and beer
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Dust off the sun and moon and sing a song of cheer

Don't have to tell a girl and fella about a drive-in
Or some romantic movie scene
Right from the moment that those lovers start arrivin'
You'll see more kissin' in the cars than on the screen

Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Those days of soda and pretzels and beer
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
You'll wish that summer could always be here

You'll wish that summer could always be here
You'll wish that summer could always be here

6/21/14: I should be in Oklahoma City for Level II training! Too much dental work and ambulance trips leave me with $10,000 debt. Level II will give me techniques to apply the learnings I got in Level I.

2/15: In 12 hours I'll be in the air heading for Denver where I change planes for OKC. Mostly packed except for toiletries etc. One of the Practitioners is writing a book. Here's a quote: "This is a call to your innate knowing of 2 definites: 1. You are flawless. 2. Suffering is unnecessary." Isn't that amazing? If you want in on that, contact me next week and I will help you free yourself from suffering! What a trip!!!!

2/11/14: Getting ready for OK trip next Sunday. Missed picking up my luggage from storage due to ice storm. Don't like to go to storage in the dark! Safeway delivered my groceries at 10:15 last night...driver was on his 13th hour of work!

11/14/13: Gig tonight at The Village...maiden voyage with my electric bass...excited!

11/8/13: Going to take the Level 1 Practioner's course in FasterEFT in February! I am so excited. Pray I get all my funding together, as I am also doing more dental work that insurance doesn't pay for!

10/5/13: My Oklahoma City trip was fantastic! Loved the plane ride, the layovers, everything but the long walks in the airport at Portland! Should have ordered a wheelchair! The seminar was so exciting. Saturday was teaching and Sunday was all tapping. Folks were really relieved of long-standing fears! I bought the Level I, II, and III certification package to do at home. Working at it slowly.

5/30/13: Only 2 weeks till I fly to Oklahoma City! Boy did I watch the tornado disaster? Felt like it was a friend's city being decimated! But the things that I will learn there! I am so charged!

5/20/13: Am looking forward to a weekend seminar on FasterEFT in Oklahoma City next month. Hope it's still there when I arrive! I pray that help is fast on the way to the folks that have lost their homes, and God opens her arms to the 37 that have died!

3/31/13: Have had several great jam sessions with V &D. Loving the electric bass!

1/21/13: Had the first jam session with my electric bass a week ago Friday. It was sooooo much fun! What a natural high! Going to do it again this coming Friday.

12/30/12: Worked up a couple songs today on my electric bass: "Me and Bobby McGee" and "Day Is Done." Does that bring back any memories?

12/1/12: I just bought my first electric base and amp! Been playing guitar most of my life, but even with a small size guitar my left hand starts hurting too quickly. Had a session with V & D (my sis & her husband) last night and was practicing some bass basics on the guitar. And unlike V, I CAN sing and play the bass at the same time. Ordered on line but going to pick up at Guitar Center. Both pieces had great reviews on both Amazon and Guitar Center. New changes at 73 yrs old!

9/15: I've got a new goal: 1 # a week. Figured out I would be at goal 1/21/14! 5th day of a nasty cold. Wasted my whole vaca! Need to go out and get some cough stuff, but I have noooo energy!

8/8: Spent 1.5 hours on SparkCoach...made 51 SparkPoints...45 minutes tracking food. Why is that sooo cumbersome? Didn't have time or energy for Oxycise!

8/6: Joined SparkCoach today. See what this extra shove and resources will do to my sluggish motivation. It's free for two weeks.

7/1/12: Stalled for soooo long. New short-term goal: 5#. That will be a 10% weight loss. Better for my leg, better for my blood pressure, better for ME!

2/3/2005: Have a great job, a great husband. Want to make this life last as long as possible. My latest motto is "Have as much fun as I can till I can't!" My hubby is starting to subscribe to this too.

Hi! Just a shout out to congratulate you!

You are the recipient of the Beautiful Woman Award!! emoticon

"Once you've been given this award, you have to paste it on the page of 8 women who deserve it. If you receive more than 3, you know you're really beautiful! If you break the chain, nothing will happen, but it's always good to know someone thinks you're beautiful inside and out!"

Again, Congratulations Beautiful!

These Prom pictures are so cool! Love them. Should I tell you that I never went, just hung out with my neighbor friends, driving around & drinking. We just could never afford the glizz and cost.
