Sunshine here! By way of introduction, I enjoy knitting, reading and eating. The latter is no surprise, but the goal for now is to learn how to enjoy eating healthier, smaller portions. I also enjoy walking in the mornings. I love to dance around the house with the vacuum, sing at the top of my lungs in the car like an idiot, and skip through the sprinklers at the city park when they water the gardens in the evenings.
There are 2 rabbits, named Willie and Gidget, running around in the apartment like little puppy dogs. They are litter box trained, so not to worry. Rabbits have their own personalities and quirks, so they offer quite a bit of variety and spice to our days. Hubby and I have learned to read their moods over the years, and I must say that our current little girl is the sassiest I have ever seen. She rules the roost and Willie is her obedient companion. What she wants, she gets and he lets her have whatever it is.
I hope to meet a some of you and exchange some ideas about how to be healthier while still having to be on a budget. I would also be interested in tips on how to get the hubby eating better too. Perhaps some "Manly" meal ideas will come this way? We both have over 100 pounds to lose ultimately, but with a little help we hope to accomplish much towards our goals in the next year or two. So here we go! Wheeee!
My ultimate goal is to lose about 90 pounds and not have my thighs rub together and start a fire when I walk, which hasn't happened since high school.
But a few others that I would like to see along the way are...
1.) To sit next to my hubby at a baseball game or movie and not fight for shoulder room
2.) To get behind the steering wheel of my bus and not have it rub either my legs or my stomach
3.) To drive one of the single passenger go-carts
4.) To shop in the non-plus size section at the store
5.) To not have more than one chin
6.) To have a regular-sized ooh-la-la bra in a pretty fabric
7.) To be able to ditch my C-Pap machine altogether, or get it to a lower setting
I am more or less following the 2nd phase of the South Beach Diet. I am walking 4 miles at least 3 times a week and doing workout videos the other days. I rotate between a upbeat dance one a belly dance one and a series of Pilates DVDS. I also use free weights to work out my upper body and I sit on a Core Ball when at the computer or watching TV.

Sorry you're feeling down. Going to the pet store and buying treats for my bunnies and kitties, then cuddling and playing with them cheers me up sometimes.

Don't give in. Keep going. Hope this helps you feel better. Also I need support. I've been gaining weigh since Oct. The Holidays and I are not good friends. They make me want to eat and I want to fight them.

Cute bunnies! I have two dutch boys, brothers. They don't have the run of the house (due to a cat, dog and two young kids), but they get their play time. They too are litter trained. And you are right, they make great pets.
My boys LOVE to have thier noses scratched. No other parts of their bodies, just thier noses.

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement on my blog. Love your bunny photos! We just adopted one from the Animal Rescue League, she's all white, just 4 months old, we named her Trixie after the Trix cereal rabbit. I have decided to go with the Weight Watcher Core program in addition to going to the gym at work. Best of luck in your weight loss journey!
