February 2014 -I had another set back in November of last year. The custody trial was cancelled yet again. I knew it was going to happen. What I did not know was how much that cancellation affected me. I really did not think it would bother me since I had expected it, Boy was I wrong. I went into a depression that lasted until the middle of January. I stress ate all through the holidays and into January putting me into an even deeper depression. Around Jan 24th I reset my sparkstreaks & started again. I still have trouble with the food. I am getting my 10,000 steps in a day. I am even getting in some strength training. I just can't stop stress eating. It is so frustrating. I am not going to give up though. One of my friends has me putting my bucket list items onto my Pinterest page. That seems to be giving me some inspiration.
April 2013 - I stopped using this site after about 5 months in 2011. I guess I just wasn't ready to commit. In January I committed to myself to use this site for 1 year, through the ups & downs to see what happens. Reading what I posted about getting me back is an eye opener to me. In reality I have gotten parts of me back but I am still looking for others. This is definitely a process.
2011 - In my 20s I was single and healthy. I married at 29. It was a lonely and very unhappy marriage. With both of my children I had high blood pressure requiring me to sit with me feet up most of the time. With my second child I got up to 199 pounds. It has been a struggle to lose the weight. Divorced a year ago and the weight is finally starting to drop. Picture is from my 25 year class reunion in 2010. Connecting with old friends was nice. It made me realize divorce is very common and I wasn't a quitter. We have been able to support each other long distance through our divorces on Facebook. I gave up alot financially to get divorced quickly. However, I have since gotten ME back. I believe that is priceless. How can you put a price tag on your life?
1. To get below 140 lbs. I would really like to get to 130, but I would be happy below 140.
2. To complete a marathon before I am 50. Really hate running so I will be aiming for the power walk.
3. Get to a point where I am happy with myself.
Get down to
152 lbs. (Last weight I saw before I was pregnant with my 1st son)
149 lbs (Just want to be able to see 4 again. )
143 lbs (I will be down 20 at this point.)
139 lbs (Is it possible?)
133 lbs (30 lbs, ulitmate goal!!!!
127 lbs (When BMI tells me I am no longer Obese)
Being a single, full-time working, taxi-cab kid escort, maintain my own home mom, I have very little time to devote. I am tracking my calories. I love the wii Gold's Gym Cardio boxing. Walking. When it is nice I will try to do a 5 mile walk at least 3 times a week. Single mom budget kind of puts a kink in the gym membership.
Born in 67, therefore will be 46 in 2013. I live in Bourbonnais, IL (summer of Da Bears). Have 2 boys 7 & 9 that love karate. I can't believe the commitment it takes. I am a CPA.
Love to scrapbook & cross stitch, both are not good for achieving physical activity. However, with my bifocals, cross stitching is just not as much fun anymore. I am currently teaching myself to crochet.
