WELL, I've been away for quite some time. I've started a new program ~ FAVAO ~ and I feel that Sparkpeople will help me in my journey.

Since I was here last, I had my knee surgery only to find that it was worse that initially thought and I will need a knee replacement. I'm 43 and NOT getting a knee replacement.

It's said that Weight Loss is 70% diet and 30% exercise... I'm going to prove it.

I have been a yoyoing, fad diet, self- sabotager for many years! I consider myself a recovered anorexic, but truly believe that your mind doesn't change and I still struggle with the false mirror. I am hoping to find some motivation to keep me going in the right direction and to keep it off the right way : )

Well, I've decided that I've felt sorry for myself long enough!! I need surgery on my knee... so what?! So I can't walk or ride a bike ~ there ARE things I can do!! I've managed to pack on 12 pounds since the middle of June and it's gotta stop or I'll be right back where I started.

Tomorrow I am going to cook and freeze some food for the work week and I'm going to put together a work out plan for myself ~ I do it for other people on a daily basis ferchrissakes!!

Gearing up to hopefully have a great week/WI! (aside from the sushi shocker tonight!!) Working out (power walking and doing the Prevention Magazine 14 day turn around challenge) has been awesome! I FEEL better!

I am hoping to look as much like l'il miss Nora Tobin (wallpaper) as I can!! ... as much as a 40 year old can look like a 21 year old, anyway! 2 days to WI...

Yesterday when I was going through the closet to get dressed for work, I had to pull 6 pairs of jeans, 2 dress pants, 2 capris, 1 pair of khaki's, and a pair of shorts out of the closet ~ TOO BIG!! Yay, but Fek!! I was sure I was going to see a 2 point move on the ticker today! My measurements stayed the same and I'm pushing it to say I lost a whole pound! WTH! Why does that stupid little machine frustrate me so?!

Feeling much better this weigh in =) I need to have a killer week, so that I can put the 160s FIRMLY behind me!! ... did I say 'firm behind'?! :P

I had some trouble with my scale yesterday, so I wasn't able to weigh in. I had to hook up the Wii this morning to do that after having gone out with a girlfriend last night! Normally, I don't like to weigh in after a night out but I HAD to weigh in... now I wish I hadn't! It is so depressing and disheartening to see a 6 on the scale again.

On the bright side ~ I wore my new Rock and Republic jeans in public last night!

My Goals:
I would like to feel comfortable in my own skin! Part of that is going to be being able to get into the clothes that I have in my closet, but haven't worn in 2-3 years! Granted, they will be out of date, but at least they'll fit! I started this journey at 182 pounds and I'd like to see 140 before I see 41!!

My Program:
I am really just going on the calories in/calories out concept and ensuring I have more going out than in =)

I have a crazy busy schedule, but I am trying to get in some sort of exercise on a daily basis.

One of the best parts of my program is my support group ~ you know who you are!!

How went the Dr appt?
I ate well for about 4 days last week - lost the "easy" three pounds - then went camping where I did none of the cooking :(
Having a really hard time getting motivated this time around. Losing all my free time in two weeks after the kids are out of school.
If I could spend my time on here instead of Facebook I might make a go of it!

Hey!! Yup I'm back on track, counting points as well as logging everything into SP. Getting back on the exercise wagon today, starting the 30 day shred over since I missed so many days and I am going to try to get to a zumba class tonight. How's it going with you?

I made the salad last night for dinner, it was pretty good but I think I will add more of some of the spices and lime next time.
