Perseverance

I've been dieting since I was 12. I have tried every diet from Atkins to the Zone, lost and regained hundreds of kilos. I had my only child at the grand old age of 45 and I'm fed up with people asking me whether I'm his mother or grandmother. I have various health issues but I want to be around to see grandchildren so I have to get my weight under control, and keep it off this time!

I agree with Zoe. The diet I follow is similar to what she suggests. It's my M.D.s diet and is specific for hypoglycemia. It works when I follow it but unfortunately I give into temptation. Arrggh!

Hi Sunny. Thank you for the Goodie and the good wishes.
I wish you luck on your journey. I have been good. I have
basically cut out white carbs and am slowly starting to see the scale moving downwards. Since October I have gone from 90/91to 82 now. I am chuffed. If you can get a hold of David Gillespie's book, 'Sweet Poison' , you will understand that so many things have sugar that we don't know about. I was so good and was convinced to have a tiny piece of galaktombouriko and I was
physically sick. I am also trying not to eat pasta.
Slowly but surely I will get there. You can too. Have you had
any tests to see whether there are hormonal levels in all this
weight gain.
Say hello to your family. Keep going, don't ever give up.
