January 1, 2009 - 258 lbs. Total loss of 112 lbs.
Sept. 2008 - 276 lbs. Total loss of 94 lbs. (74 lbs. with SP)
My dad, daughter Skye and me. 297 lbs. July/08
Hi - I am losing this same 200 lbs. for the second time and this time I plan to keep it off. :) After losing it the first time, I started to have problems with my legs, and ended up in surgery. It was so hard to get around after that and I slowly slipped back into my sedentary lifestyle along with poor eating habits and the weight was more than happy to rejoin me. So...here I go again. Once this weight is gone I should be able to get around much easier. Can't wait! I'm looking forward to much less pain.
Galatian 6:9 (NLT) "So don't get tired of doing what is good. Don't get discouraged and give up." This journey, for me, is about making changes in lifestyle, healthy eating, exercise ~ with the goal being a temple that can glorify our Creator ~ side effects being; a sense of well being, balance, community, weight loss, increased energy. My prayer is that we can take this "journey" together.
Daily we pray "Lord, please guide each of us today in our healthy choices and help us be ever mindful that we are doing this for your glory. Please help us keep our eyes on you, you are our sustenance. Thank you Lord. Amen."
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
First and foremost, I want to FEEL healthy. I don't care to be the skinniest woman around, just able to shop in "normal" stores for clothes. To be able to shop with my daughter, to be able to walk without a cane, be able to bend over to pick something up easily.
I'm tracking my food intake along with nutrients, drinking more water and most importantly...I reward myself at the end of each month for staying on track that month. I think I kinda like that. :) Mid May I started with a small exercise program that has been upgraded to "Chair Dancing" exercises. Love it!
I have two children. My son is 26 and my daughter is 21. I've been married for 34 years. My husband is disabled with MS and I have a walking disability. I live in Southern Ontario, Canada but grew up in Tucson, AZ.
I love to read, enjoy a good movie and nature. Simple living, organics and the environment are all passions of mine. My favorite book is the Bible and I try to live my life in a way that is pleasing to the Lord.
"LIVE SIMPLY SO OTHERS MAY SIMPLY LIVE" ~ My favorite quote.
yup...HERE COMES THE SNOW!!! lol I love it!!
but sounds like you are going to get hit harder than us this time. The sun's shining right now so I'd better get out and soak up a few rays before it's gone. I was out yesterday for a walk and it felt great to feel the sun on my face.
How's your week going? I'm getting stricter and stricter about tracking every morsel that I put in my mouth. It's not pretty somedays but at least I know where my failings are and what areas I need to work on. Don't give up NOW! we're just getting the hang of this lol

How are you doing?
let's work at this together.
I love your verse....let's not get tired of doing what is good....
good for our bodies, good for our health, good for our spiritual life, good for our families, good for our future, good for ourselves.

"Beautiful Woman Award! Once you've been given this award, you have to paste it on the wall of 8 women who deserve it. If you receive more than 3, you know you're really beautiful! If you break the chain, nothing will happen, but it's always good to know someone thinks you're beautiful inside and out"
