Hi, and thanx for stopping by! I've been overweight my whole life. I've tried several different diets over the years. Most were too extreme and I could never keep it going long term. Even when I could manage to put it off I'd eventually have a few bad days and give up. Then , of course, all the weight I'd lost would come rushing back (plus some!).

Even when I could manage to put it off I'd eventually have a few bad days and give up. Then , of course, all the weight I'd lost would come rushing back (plus some!).

Well, here I am again! Only this time I'm hoping to make some lifestyle decisions that will allow me to lose weight and be healthy in the long run. I would love for the pounds to melt away as quickly as some of these fad diets promise. However, I realize now that isn't practical and my best bet for achieving my goal is to educate myself and take this one day at a time. Wish me luck!

My Goals:
Overall, my main goal is to get in the habit of living a healthy lifestyle and break my addiction to food.

It's difficult for me to see the big picture, so I'm going to break down my journey into more manageable goals. First I would like to lose roughly 16 lbs by the end of the summer.

My Program:
To reach my goal, I am staying within my calorie range suggested to me by SP, getting my recommended fitness minutes each day, and walking more whenever possible.
