I am 52 years of age. I am Married and a mother of 5 children. I am a stay at home Mom now and want to be a healthier Woman. I want to reach my goal weight before the end of the year. I have always struggled with my weight, but Now I Plan to succeed! I had finally reached my goal weight, but I quit Smoking March 14th/08, and gained the weight back again, since I replaced cigerettes with food! Now I need to get it off for a Lifetime! I am doing this for ME! I Love My Family and want to be healthier for them too!!

My Goals:
To Be Healthier, Feel Better, and Look Better!! for Myself first and then my Family! To Have More energy. To Lose at least 13 more pounds! I Plan to start walking again also. To stay Smoke Free!


My Program:
I am keeping a food journal and keeping track of my Intake daily. Eating 3 times a day, but eating Healthier meals! Walking on the Treadmill 3 times a week. Getting Tips and healthful ideas from other SparksPeople!

I am 52 years old Today(May 27th) and I am a mother of five. Matt and Mack are still at home with us! My daughter Lela is a Sparks Member also(Iam so very Proud of Her!) I am a Born Again Child of God!! I Live in Oklahoma, but was born in California. I have been married for 22 years to a wonderful man named Rick. My pic shows me as a Red Head, But I am a natural Blonde! hehe, and I have wrinkles now , hehe. I have 2 dogs and 4 cats right now! I love to participate in My son's sports, I love to take Pictures with my camera's, Love to Read(Especially The Bible), spend time with Friends when I can, I love to Cook, and I Love to Shop! I Love watching Movies(especially sappy ones) I am aHopeless Romantic!

    Thank you for considering me a friend. I am adding you to my friend's list too. I agree with Geri that multiple mini meals throughout the day are healthier than the 3 square gut busters. However; weight issues are secondary to me. My main concern is staying off the cigs.

    It's great you are keeping a food journal. SP has a great nutrition page where you can plan and track meals.

    Also, 6 small meals during the day is better than 3 regular meals.. Keep fruits and veggies on hand at all time!!!!!!!!

    I used Chantix also and have been smoke free going on 4 months and I too find I crave a cig now and then. That urge will be with us always and we have to fight it with all we've got. We delivered babies....... we can stay smoke free !!!!!!!!!! WE ARE WOMEN LOL LOL LOL

    Thank you for your comment on my blog! I just have to wait it out. I was reading your page and great job on your choice to quit smoking that is awesome. Unfortunately the weight does start to creep up. I met a nurse that quit and she didn't want to gain weight she had sugar free hard candies on hand. Happy be-lated birthday.
