I'm the "mother" of 2 BichonFrises :-) My husband rubbed off on me organic ways, but I didn't let him know that. I am also environmentally conscientious. Although I'm not a true Christian Scientist, my beliefs tend to sway in that direction, eg. seldom am I ill due to God's ever-presence, but don't take that as me being a holier-than-thou person. Having never been a kitchen-person I now need help, especially for nutritious treats & meals.
Any simple recipes using the microwave not the stove or oven? Or easy dishes requiring NO cooking!
Over the years I've been with SparkPeople I've found how wonderful their recipes are. I especially like being able to see the slight changes others make to the original recipe. I can copy those that I like & that I do! Wish we could COPY more of the comments into our recipe books. NEED MORE ROOM!
I want guidelines for what & how much to both eat & exercise, exercise especially.
At least with having pups I'm sure to get in at least one walk a day! I do not drive, so there again I am left with alot of walking : to the bank, grocery, close shops, etc. Really helps me be environmentally oriented!
Give an overview of what you are doing to meet your goals & what I should do to meet mine.
I like yoga & walking & love Sign Language.
My name is Kristy. I now live in Springdale, AR. I have lived in Columbus,Ohio, Springfield,MO, & Bentonville,AR. My Email address is PrancerMcc@aol.com.
For the past 2 years my new hobby has been BasketWeaving - before it was Needlepoint for 3 decades! I now have goen back to NP & XS. Seem like NP has almost become extinct & XS (Counted Cross Stitch) has taken its place :-'(. Maybe I'll have to go back to making my own NP patterns as I did in my 20's.
Do I qualify for SparkPeople? I am not overweight, but believe that I looked healthier when I weighed 10 lbs more (facial cheeks weren't drawn in). However gaining is not the important thing to me - nutrition is! My husband passed away recently leaving me in charge of fixing what I eat for the first time in my life!
I must admit that my face looks much better now that I am out of the hospital (Aug 7 - Sep 13, 2016) which I had been admitted at to for anorexia nervosa. There they feed me Boost & FULL meals, more than I was used to eating, & I came out with a FULL figure (a pouched out stomach which is a FAR cry from the flat one I went in with & desire to get a flat one back!). I became married on May 14, 2017 to David Alan Decker. He cooks marvelous meals! (The hospital turned me from one who seldom eats to one who eats every chance she has, but limits it, between meals, to baby carrots, turnips, broccoli, pineapple juice, cauliflower, cottage cheese, yogurt(a teaspoon), granola, gree

I first have to get my comment about your cute babies out of the way. I also have a Bichon and she looked just like Ginger as a pup. You babies are adorable........
Now for the most important part. The nutrition and snacks- my best suggestion for this would be to google for recipes . I know that there are a lot of fantastic recipes on spark people that you could locate as well as weight watchers. If you have a whole foods market you could find recipes there also. I wish you luck on your journey.
