Round Three.....

My name is Debi. I'm 46 years old. I started Sparks 3 years ago and followed the Atkins Diet and Lost 56 pounds in 5 months. Since August of 2007 I have allowed myself to go off the diet and exercise program and gained 58 of those pounds back. I feel horrible and miserable and not feeling very well at that. Not even the Atkins, because I can't seem to get myself back into the swing of it. I desperately need to lose weight and I am determined... but wondering if I will ever get it right..... This time I am going to try and stay motivated on a low calorie, low fat diet... and watch portion control...and of course exercise. So now we are talking round three as we near the end of 2009... Wish me luck!

My Goals:
I know they say to make short reasonable goals that you know you can stick with...well.... lately I just can't seem to stick to much. And with a leering whopping 140 pounds to lose... that number is always in the foreground reminding me that I am a failure. My goal at this point is just to come up with a program that fits me and that is healthy and works.



My Program:
Monitoring everything I eat by tracking it here at sparks. Staying low fat and Calorie. Start myself at 1800 calories for the first two weeks..then I will drop it down to 1500...and see how it goes from there.
I will also incorporate Exercise...mostly walking and will try to do some weight lifting because I know that will help boost my metabolism.
