In search of a healthier me

Hi. I'm Cindy. I've lost hundreds of pounds and gained them all back and then some. It's an old story. However, I never thought I'd be "old" and fat. Whole different ballgame. Thyroid issues?? Who knew? Aches and pains and what happened to my poor knees? I really need to get the weight off. I'd love to have friends that knew the feeling :-)
Nice to meet you!

emoticon I'm a Cyndi too! I just replied to a thread in the 40s Something team forum that you also replied to and I just wanted to offer a few words of encouragement. I know it seems a daunting task and at times down right impossible if you look at the whole picture. I think the best way to start out with baby steps. Set a small, attainable goal for yourself and once you reach that then set another, then another and then another. Just keep going and before you know it you'll be further down the road than you thought possible. Keep posting and checking in with the team and we can support and encourage each other through this! emoticon

Just dropped by to say - Hi. and welcome you to The “~INDYGIRL CHALLENGE” Team
emoticon
We aim to create a friendly, and supportive environment in SparkPeople land!! - Please feel free to jump in and join in the message boards. It has been proved that people who contribute regularly to message boards and blog regularly lose more weight, more easily than those who don’t, so come on in.
It is a great place to be and you will find lots of friends, and ideas to help and support you at all stages on your journey, so please don’t ever be afraid to ask questions. Even if it seems a small thing it is important to you – and someone will have the answer, or will have been there.
I hope you succeed in all the goals you set
Please leave your Sparkmail on for this team as ~Indygirl sends out a new challenge each week
Enjoy the journey

Hi, Cindy! Sorry it took me so long to say Hi, too!!! MY BAD!! Please forgive!!
I love your cool blue mountains! :) They're so pretty!
Yanno, since my hubby is so much into the medieval things, of course that has made me more interested in such things too, and for a group we had gotten involved with, we had to pick medieval names that could be DOCUMENTED that they were for that time period. I saw names like Ethelthryth and even Etheldreda *shudders* (what where you dread when Ethel comes in??), but then there was Cynethryth. I liked that one because it was much closer to Cindy!! :) I couldn't find PROOF of Gloria, so I couldn't keep it. Oh well. If you'd like to be another buddy of mine, I will definitely try my best to be here for you, too. :) Things are a little on the rocky side right now, since we don't know yet if we'll be here another month, or two, or gone just yet, but I'd still try my best to be here and stay in touch. Put me on your list of potentials, anyway, if you don't mind. :) Hugs Glo
