Hi Lily! Thanks for the advice about the timer and breaking up work with walking/drinking water, etc. That really sounds good and I'm going to try it. Most of the time when I get to working, I don't want to stop or get distracted by anything else, just keep going...going...this also adds into my issues with weight because I would much rather eat whatever's in sight of my desk than take time to go get a healthy lunch. I wonder why we're always the last ones to cut ourselves some slack?

In reading your status, I too often get overwhelmed with the sheer size and variety of all the things to do. Something that helps me sounds like exactly what you're doing--I force myself to do one, and ONLY one, thing at a time. I'm not allowed to think about or do anything about other tasks until that one is completed. I've even gone back to writing a list and crossing each one off as it's completed!
