The truth is; it's easy to lose the first 20 pounds when a body is my size because its mostly just water. After I lose that initial 20 pounds, I'm afraid I'm going to have to really work at it. Right now, I'm just working on keeping inside my limits set by sparkpeople and avoiding all sugar, pasta and soft drinks.
Mostly I drink Lipton Iced tea but start the day out with coffee. I am trying to drink a lot of water too. I sweeten my iced tea with a little Xlyotol which is a natural sweetener and can be used much the same as regular sugar.
Keeping my goal down is encouraging to me because I am just about half way to my 35 pound goal. Originally, I was shooting for 25 pound increments of loss, but somehow it came out 35, so I guess I'll keep that goal.

I see that you have lost a lot of weight 70 pounds is quite an achievement! I bet you feel so much better as well. I hope to get back down to a normal size some day; but for now I'm shooting for 25 pound increments. I think it will be less overwhelming to me.

I'm back for a while; hopefully I won't get as discouraged this time. I'm making small realistic goals set at 10 week intervals so if it doesn't work, my whole plan can easily be started over again.
