I am a Confection Chef and I'm going to school to become a Pastry Chef. My boyfriend is a Chef and cooks amazing fattening food everyday. I am also low thyroid, so everything is basically working against me. :) I'm learning to manage my calories and exercise so I don't live my life very overweight!!

I gained a lot of weight in my first semester of pastry school and I made a commitment on New Years to lose it this year! It's the begining of Autumn and I've already lost 20 lbs and ...

It's the begining of Autumn and I've already lost 20 lbs and 7-10 inches off my waist!! I have about 16 to go and my goal is to crack down through the end of the year and reach my goal by New Years 2010!! I have learned to exercise and eat right and it comes more natural to me now! It's definitely a lifestyle change!! It feels so good to be healthy and to be slimming down and to know I can stay this way!! I'm proud of myself!! My goal is in sight!! I look forward to maintianing!

I can't wait to really enjoy wearing all the cute vintage styles I love so much and wear them with confidence!! I also make some of my own clothes and I want a cute figure so I can enjoy planning and making clothes for myself!

I don't want my weight and how I feel about myself to hold me back ever again!!

My Goals:
It is never too late to be what you might have been. - George Elliot

1. Be close to my goal weight by the start of the holiday season!

2. Only eat all the holiday food on the actual holiday!

3. Stay within my calorie range during the holiday season!

4. Exercise 4-6 days a week, plan my workouts and stick to them! Make it a priority!

5. Be able to wear clothes with confidence!

6. Start making my own clothes

7. Enjoy clothes shopping!

8. Feel better physically and have more energy

9. Have exercise become more natural to me- just become part of my weekly routine!! First priority!

10. Have healthy eating habits and exercise become just that, HABITS!!!

11. Reach my goal weight of 135

12. Get down to a size 8/9!! Single digits!!

13. Keep myself motivated and in check. don't let myself off guard with diet and exercise for more than a weekend. (2 days max)

1. Stay within my calorie range.

2. Be mindful of what I'm eating and why! Watch my calorie intake, but don't torture myself making me want to give up or binge.

3. Exercise at least 4-6 times a week for at least 30-60 minutes at a time.

4. Make an exercise schedule and stick to it!

5. Drink water with every meal and snack. Keep water with me at all times.

6. Keep my motivation going by staying with my plan, staying mindful of all I do, have goals and concrete plans, keep track of my progress and reward myself and be proud of myself!

Personal Information:
I am a confection chef finishing school to become a pastry chef! I have lost 20 lbs so far this year! (2009) I love everything pre 1960's and am especially drawn to the 30's, 40's and 50's. I live in beautiful Santa Cruz, CA!!

Other Information:
Break Down (as of 10/5):
*151 to 135 lbs
*16 lbs to lose to hit my goal weight (target date- around Thanksgiving, but I will be happy if I lose it by New Years!)
*8 weeks to go
*about 2 lbs a week
*about 8 lbs a month
* 8 lbs= 143 (about) by Halloween
* 4 weeks until Halloween

Monthly Goals-
*Nov 2- 143 lbs
*Nov 30- 135 lbs

GOAL WEIGHT BY THE NEW YEAR!! 135!! Size 8!!
