I can have the body I want!

I'm 31 and really want to look the way I feel- athletic! I am working towards more definition on my arms, less fat on my stomach, and thighs that don't touch. My weight and BMI are in the healthy range, but I want to look exceptional as well as be fit.

My biggest challenge right now is that I'm not working (unemployed), so I spend the day doing one of my favorite activities- cooking. This leads to mindless snacking, hence my goal to lose weight. I do have plenty of time to go to ...

My biggest challenge right now is that I'm not working (unemployed), so I spend the day doing one of my favorite activities- cooking. This leads to mindless snacking, hence my goal to lose weight. I do have plenty of time to go to the gym, and go every day, but then come home and eat dinner and then snack on whatever I baked that day. Another challenge I have is I have a huge mental alarm clock that says "it is TIME to eat, so eat." I really need to work on eating when I'm hungry and not when I just think it's time.

My Goals:
Tighten my body so there is no flab.
Be proud to wear a bikini.
Have skin folds, not fat folds, on my tummy.
Stop watching and reading so many food shows/blogs to cease temptation.


My Program:
I'm exercising 6 days a week at the gym, alternating upper and lower body resistance. I do cardio every day and also take my black lab running a few times a week.

I mix up my cardio with extended time spent at my 80% heart rate but also mix in intense sprints.

For fun I swim or do a spin class.

Personal Information:
I live in amazingly beautiful and eternally sunny Southern California. I am a celiac who eats gluten free food. I'm totally on the organic, nonGMO, locally harvested bandwagon.

I think my friends are annoyed with the amount of weird trivia facts I know because of 5th grade... it's such a building year too that a lot of people forget that what they know now probably came from some sort of fact they learned in 5th grade but have moved past. I have "the talk" with my 5th graders all the time about how it has been a long time since their parents were in 5th grade and some of the things we learn about might be hard for them to remember. Just because they don't remember it and can't help you does NOT mean you can fight with them over not doing your homework!!! lol

Anyway, thanks for your comment on my page. I'm learning quickly to deal with stress through exercise and I love it!!! (well that is until the exercise itself stresses me out because I HAVE to fit it in ha ha)

Just thought of something that might help you to see how much your exercise helps. Go to reports and in there is one called daily calorie differential. This shows your calories burned v. calories eaten and the exact number of the deficit you created. You do track your fitness right?

Hey girlie:) I seen your status ?. So when you set your goal weight and date did you also fill in your calories burned? I think this will adjust your calorie intake and then you will be getting enough calories to feel optimal but still lose at the rate you entered.
It's all about calories in v. calories out. So the calories you are burning during exercise are calories out therefore hopefully creating a deficit on calories in.
