I Got My Second Wind!

I'm a 30 year old stay-at-home mom of a 6 year old daughter and 8 year old son from northeast Pennsylvania. I'm currently doing a TurboFire/ChaLean Extreme Hybrid and would like to connect with other people trying to get in shape for motivation and accountability. I genuinely enjoy helping people and have become a Team Beachbody Coach to assist others in reaching and maintaining their fitness goals.I've always been pretty active - skiing, snowboarding, hiking, swimming - and in decent shape ...
I'm a 30 year old stay-at-home mom of a 6 year old daughter and 8 year old son from northeast Pennsylvania. I'm currently doing a TurboFire/ChaLean Extreme Hybrid and would like to connect with other people trying to get in shape for motivation and accountability. I genuinely enjoy helping people and have become a Team Beachbody Coach to assist others in reaching and maintaining their fitness goals.I've always been pretty active - skiing, snowboarding, hiking, swimming - and in decent shape until I had my kids starting in 2004. When I went back to college in 2008, I started swimming a mile daily at the university's pool and had pretty much lost all the pregnancy weight I gained having 2 kids back to back (they're currently 6 & 8).

In the summer of 2010, I broke my ankle playing frisbee and my entire life changed. I needed surgery - a plate and 9 pins were put in my ankle and the main nerve in my leg was severed causing chronic pain in my ankle. A month after surgery, I fell while out shopping on an improperly waxed floor causing a slipped disc in my neck and sprained shoulder and wrist landing me in a wheelchair and bedridden for 4 months. I spent another 4 months on crutches because of the nerve damage and still have limited mobility in my right foot along with nerve pain.

All this took a huge toll on my fitness level and caused weight gain. In early 2011, I got off the crutches and started working out despite my limitations and was seeing great results doing Zumba, Chalean Extreme and Tracy Anderson's Metamorphisis and calorie tracking until 4 months in when I re-injured my ankle and was back on crutches for 2 more months. After that I gave up and over the past 2 years slowly gained back all the weight I lost plus some.

In March of this year, I realized none of my clothes fit anymore. I got rid of all my fat clothes back in 2011 and refuse to buy new ones. I know what I need to do to get my body where I want it so I'm just going to do it and stick with it no matter what this time!

Thanks for adding me! I love your page!! So...what keeps you busy during the day? Do you have a favorite workout?

I have a 5yr old that keeps me on my toes….a house to keep up (like all of us woman...LOL), and a full time job as a business analyst. I also own my own fitness business... which is my true passion and love!!! I get to help others by sharing with them the products that have worked for me. I also help keep them motivated and am there for them every step of their journey :-) I finally feel like I am doing something I love and have a passion for. The rewards are endless. I LOVE to spend my summers outside either doing yard work or playing games with the family. I really look forward to chatting more - Take care!
