I'm very interested in nutrition and yoga, but I have an addiction to candy and snack foods. Nobody's perfect, eh? :)
To lose the weight that's been slowly creeping up on me as well as gain energy and strength.
1. Eat mainly healthy foods (organic if possible).
2. Allow myself to occasionally eat some of my not-so-healthy favorites (pizza, candy, etc.) but practice portion control.
3. Be active for 30 minutes 4-5 days a week

Welcome to Living Binge Free! We concentrate more on how to feed ourselves reasonably and moderately in all situations rather than on achieving a certain weight. That approach has shown more success with binge eaters than traditional calorie restriction and weight goals. yep, and we can overcome this, we're a lot stronger than we think, and definitely a lot stronger than food and that desire for it. I mean what do we need food for. Yes, for survival, but that's only a small amount of it. We need other people, who will help us get through this path towards good health. It's that good health that helps us survive a lot more than food.
If we have that near perfect balance of food and health, think of how good we'll feel.
Instead of grabbing a candybar, or something unhealthy, pick up a book, a piece of fruit, veggie, or heck, even the keys and go for a drive and look at the beauty that's around us, or go visit a friend. Wouldn't that be great?
So much more we can do than indulge our bad desires, so let's get out there and do something constructive instead of destructive, and move ourselves into that healthy mode. We can do this, together, I know we can!
