Saw your post in IBS. I used to belong to IBS group but recently left. I have celiac disease and have read that many people respond well to the SCD for all manner of types of gut problems. I think it or any diet that recommends more vegetables, fruits, and gluten-free is helpful and worthy of sticking with. Despite negative tests for celiac even. http://tinyurl.com/29t4tt (just one hit for "ulcerative colitis + gluten" search).

I can't imagine what we eat DOESN'T have something to do with our intestinal health! If you want to get undepressed, sleep and feel better, consider more research if you haven't already. You may not be getting your nutrients. Since I've been diagnosed I've steered myself into learning more about raw foodism. More enzymes, better digestion, etc. It seems a stretch right now, but one day at a time :0). also look into gut health at bodyecology.com. I do know that when I eat only vegetables and lean proteins I lose weight very readily. Just my experience, I had to share. Best to you on your journey.
